UiKnow, Inc. makers of UiKnow and UiKnow.com don't want to know anything about you that you do not want anyone with Internet access to know. UiKnow collects a limited amount of information for the purpose of improving the services we provide our users. The more context we have related to your Search Space™, the better job we can do helping other users find what they want when they visit UiKnow.com. This is no different than the information that search engines collect from you. In fact, we gather less information than most search engines. Furthermore, we disclose everything that we collect in our privacy policy and you have control over what you want to be made public. Our mission is to protect our user's privacy.
Information Collected and Used by UiKnow
In general, UiKnow uses the information provided by you to further its mission of helping users Find. Organize. Create. and Share. information within the UiKnow network.
Technical Information Gathered by UiKnow
When visiting our website, we may, but generally do not, log standard technical information possibly including the visitor's Internet Protocol (IP) address; the name of the Internet browser and operating system used; the address of the website from which the visitor was directed to our site (if any); the date and time our pages were visited, and which pages those were.
Circumstances in which we temporarily log standard technical information include: site testing, diagnosis of technical problems, and defending against attacks on the site. We generally log the pages users visit, date and time users access our site on an anonymous basis.
Cookies
The UiKnow plug-in does not set or read cookies.
www.uiknow.com does not set cookies with the exception of its sign in page, which sets a browser cookie to remember the User's login name and password through a Remember Me setting. The name of the cookie set by UiKnow.com is username@pages.txt. The cookie will hold a two digit number that indicates that user preference for the number of search results that should be displayed on the screen. If it is not removed, the cookie will last 30 days.
UiKnow's help ticket system is subject to the same privacy policies and exhibits the same logging behaviors as www.uiknow.com. Additionally, it is impossible to associate specific support tickets with any of the previously-mentioned technical log information. The only information that associates a user with a ticket is the help system session identifier itself, which is deleted when you close your browser.
Additional Uses of Information collected by UiKnow
From time to time, UiKnow may select quotes from user comments or suggestions (either un-attributed or accompanied by the user login) that may be used to promote our mission, such as including a relevant quote on our website. (See Terms of Use Policy for more details).
From time to time, we may distribute surveys operate contests, or other promotional activities that users may voluntarily participate in. Such information will only be used for the purposes for which it was collected. A separate privacy policy and terms of use agreement will accompany such activities.
Email Choice/Opt In
We use member information to process and manage member logins and communicate with you if have exercised this choice and the manner in which you would like to be contacted. If you opt in, we will use the email address that you have provided to send you updates and product information. If you chose to submit comments or suggestions, this information may be shared with the entire UiKnow staff and contractors.

Search Spaces™ contain links to a wide variety of third-party sites. UiKnow is not responsible for the privacy policy and/or practices on those sites. Our privacy policy only governs information stored within the UiKnow network.
Disclosure of Your Information
While UiKnow endeavors to provide the highest level of protection for your information, we may disclose personally identifiable information about you to third parties in limited circumstances: (1) With your consent; (2) When we have a good faith belief that it is required by law, such as pursuant to a subpoena or other judicial or administrative order; or (3) to enforce the UiKnow Terms of Use Agreement or to protect our rights.
If we are required by law to disclose the information that you have submitted, we will attempt to provide you with notice (unless we are legally prohibited) that a request for your information has been made in order to give you an opportunity to object to the disclosure. We will attempt to provide this notice by email, if you have provided us with an email address. If you do not challenge the disclosure request, we may be legally required to turn over your information.
In addition, UiKnow will independently object to requests for access to information about users of our site that we believe to be improper.

Correcting/ Updating or Removing Your Information
You may chose to correct, update, or delete the information you have submitted to us by editing your MyAccount information and/or the information in Search Spaces™ you have submitted. However, since all Search Spaces™ you submit to UiKnow.com are available for other users to edit or modify as they see fit (see Terms of Use Policy), they may have re-shared your Search Space™ prior to the changes you make. There is no way to change these modified Search Spaces™ by you and changes will only be made in the case of copyright violations or other violations of our Terms of Use Policy. Please understand that deleted information may be present on back-up media until it is deleted in the course of normal operations on in the cache of a search engine.
Security
uiknow.com user accounts are secured by user-created passwords and UiKnow takes precautions to insure that user account information is kept private. We use industry standard measures to protect the information that you store within our sites. That information will only be accessed by UiKnow staff members or contractors who need access to perform their job functions. While we are committed to protecting your information, we cannot guarantee the security of user account information. Unauthorized entry or use, hardware or software failure, and other factors may compromise security of member information.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
Any revisions to this Privacy Policy will be consistent with UiKnow's mission. We will post messages about changes in the way we treat personal information we collect by posting changes within revised Privacy Policy statements on this site and by adding a notice to such other information dissemination vehicles we may employ at that time for the communication of information to our users (e.g., company blog, news page, etc). A User is bound by any changes to the policy when he or she uses the site after the changes have been posted. If we make significant changes to the way we treat personal information, we will attempt to also notify you by sending a notice to the primary email address specified in your UiKnow account if you have provided us with one and designated that it as an acceptable method of to notify you of such changes.
